Why It Matters

Intergenerational connections benefit everyone involved.

For older adults, these conversations provide opportunities to share knowledge, preserve personal histories, remain socially engaged, and develop meaningful relationships with younger generations.

For younger participants, the program offers valuable insights, mentorship, historical perspectives, and the chance to learn from individuals whose life experiences differ from their own.

Together, participants discover that while each person's journey is unique, many of our hopes, challenges, and values are shared.

Bringing Generations Together Through Conversation

In today's fast-paced world, opportunities for genuine interaction between generations are becoming increasingly rare. Walks of Life Social Hour creates a welcoming space where seniors, caregivers, young adults, students, and community members can come together to share stories, learn from one another, and build lasting relationships.

Through guided conversation topics, storytelling activities, and interactive discussions, participants explore the experiences that have shaped their lives—from childhood memories and career journeys to family traditions, life lessons, and hopes for the future. These conversations foster understanding, reduce social isolation, challenge stereotypes, and strengthen community connections.
